Bobby was an engineer with LinkBelt/Rexnord for 48 years retiring in 2017. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, obtained his GED from Ben Davis High School and attended Earlham College to advance his career at work. After his retirement he worked at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway as a guard because of his passion for racing and would talk about his friendship with his buddy Roger Penske. He loved his family, friends, fishing and taking long rides in his corvette.
Bobby is survived by his wife of 44 years; Dottie Key, children; Kristy (Bill) Williams and Robert J Key and his grandson; Broghan. He was preceded in death by his parents and 10 siblings.
A visitation for Robert will be held Friday, April 12, 2024 from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Family Funeral Care-Rockville West, 5791 Rockville Rd, Indianapolis, Indiana 46224.
