Bat graduated from Purdue University. He joined the Army then realized his true calling was the United States Air Force. He is a Vietnam veteran and retired as a Lieutenant Colonel.
He loved spending time with his family, especially at the annual Easter egg hunt and the famous fall party.
He loved his home and all his flowers and trees and could talk about them all day.
He is survived by his son David (Lavona) Masterson, his daughters; Karen Hicks, Mary (Keith) Shrum, 2 stepsons; Billy (Kathy) Banther, Jim (Kathy) Banther, many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, his sister Ellen Reynolds, sister-in-law Jackie Masterson, many nieces, and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, daughter Cathy, brothers; Jim, Joe, David, his sisters; Martha, Mary, his niece, 2 nephew and 2 granddaughters.
