
He accepted Christ at an early age. On May 13, 1977 he married the love of his life
Christine Noble. He remained a loving and devoted husband until her passing on
May 2, 2009. He was affectionately called “Cakes” by his loving wife. Robert was
employed as a custodian at IU and retired from Methodist Hospital. Robert enjoyed
watching western movies, listening to Christian music, eating at Golden Coral,
eating fried chicken and catfish. He also helped his wife provide child care to many
children in the community. Robert never had any children, but he was kind and
loving to his step-children. He had a close relationship with his sister Queen Noble and
talked with her daily on the phone until their health prevented them from talking.
Robert was called home on Thursday, March 5, 2020 at the age of 79. He was
preceded in death by his father James Noble Sr, mother Lucinda Noble, and his
brother James Noble Jr.
He leaves to cherish his precious memories sister, Queen Campbell; brother, John Noble; step-son, Harold Bradford-Nashville; step-daughters, Deborah Dowdell (James)-Nashville and Hattlyne Leonard (James)-Michigan; a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, family and friends, and Sister
Bertha Davis. Sister Davis was a devoted friend to Robert and Christine Noble. After the passing of his wife, Mr. and Mrs. R.C. Davis were devoted caretakers and trusted friends.
Funeral Service will be held 11am Friday March 13, 2020 at Williams and Bluitt Funeral Home, 5252 E. 38th St. Indianapolis, IN. 46218 calling from 10am until time of service. Interment Sutherland Park Cemetery.
