Robert Allen Wittman

Robert A. Wittman, 92, of Indianapolis went home to be with his lord April 29, 2025. He was the son of Roscoe and Vivian (Comer) Wittman. He was a 1951 graduate of Washington High School and was drafted into the Army serving in Korea from 1951-1954. He married Shirley Morlock, and they celebrated their 70th anniversary. He worked for Link-Belt for 29 years and National Starch and Chemical as maintenance superintendent for 19 years, retiring in 1995. He was a founding member of Our Shepherd Lutheran Church where he served his Lord as youth counselor, usher, deacon and trustee.

Survivors include his wife, two sons, Randy (Kathy) , Ronnie (Pam) Wittman and a daughter, Teri Wittman. Also, four grandchildren, Ricky, Ryan (Demi), Robbie (Brytanni) and Lauren (Alex), and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his oldest son, Rick.

Service of Christian Burial will be held at Our Shepherd Lutheran Church, 9201 East County Road 100 North, Avon, IN 46123 on Friday, May 2, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. with visitation from 10:00 a.m. until the service time at 1:00 p.m. Burial will be in Concordia Lutheran Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Our Shepherd Lutheran School Student Assistant in care of the church.
