Born Aug 22 1935, Passed Sept 13 2025.
Daddy lived a long and meaningful life, rooted in family, faith, and resilience. He transitioned peacefully, surrounded by children and grandchildren, who comforted him in his final days and sang him through the gates of heaven.
Just like his own father, Daddy was a peacemaker, a quiet giant with ethereal gentility, a limitless ability to forgive. He will be remembered for his spiritual leadership, his humility, his kindness, his humor and his smile all of which he carried even in his last moments.
One of the greatest of our times Daddy leaves us a legacy of love, family, endurance, and above all, Christianity and faith. His memory will remain a blessing to all who knew him.
Bishop Samuel is survived by his wife of 63 years, Rev. Esther Uwumarongie (nee Erhabor), eight Children, eighteen Grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 10:00am on Saturday, October 11, 2025 at Crown Hill Funeral Home, 700 38th St, Indianapolis, IN 46208. Interment will follow immediately after.
