Sandra K. Jenkins

Kay was born on September 8, 1948 to the late Gladys and Charles Porter in Indianapolis, IN.

Kay worked for Motorola from the 1980's until 1994 when she retired. Then she later worked for Delphi until retirement in 2010.

In her prime, she maintained weekly hair appointments and classy fashions. She was a movie buff and enjoyed her vast movie collection. She also liked to host Thanksgiving dinner and bake cookies especially around the holiday season. Most of all, Kay was a loving mother, grandmother, aunt, sister and friend who loved spending time with loved ones.

Kay was proceeded in death by her parents and brother, Charles "Bunny" Porter Sr.

Kay leaves to cherish her memory: her sons, Milton Jenkins of Indpls, IN and Eric Jenkins (Autumn Stephens) of Dearborn, MI; sister in law, Algean Porter of Indpls, IN; nephew, Charles "Chucky" Porter Jr. of Indpls, IN; grandchildren: Tiffany Jenkins, of Indpls, IN, Natisha (Derrick) Weatherly, of Clt, NC, Eric Jenkins Jr. of Indpls, IN, Khadijah Jenkins of CA., Jordan Jenkins of CA, Auriana Jenkins of Indpls, IN., Natalie Jenkins of Dearborn, MI., Kayla Jenkins of Dearborn, MI., Jaylen Stephens of Dearborn, MI., Aiden Jenkins of Dearborn, MI. and a host of family and loved ones.

A visitation for Sandra will be held Friday, May 24, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Crown Hill Funeral Home & Cemetery, 700 W. 38th St., Indianapolis, Indiana 46208, followed by a celebration of life at 1:00 PM.
