Saundra Rise' Clark

Saundra Rise’ Clark (Brown) was born in Anderson, Indiana on January 12, 1942. She was the daughter of Donna & Lawrence Brown, the oldest of 12 children. She attended Anderson Public Schools and graduated in 1959.

On January 28, 1961, she married Lynn Clark, to this union her four boys were born. Saundra had a fulfilling career for over 20 years at the Department of Finance and Accounting Services (DFAS), where her dedication and hard work earned numerous accolades. She retired in 1996. Starting in 1999, she found joy in managing Hindel Bowling Lanes. There, she formed close bonds with the bowlers, who cherished her warm and engaging presence. Saundra retired from Hindel in 2023, leaving a lasting impact on everyone she met.

Saundra dedicated her life to Christ at a young age, embracing her faith with a pure heart. She loved bowling, traveling, and spending time with her family. Her sweet yet straightforward nature made her a beloved presence in everyone's life. Saundra always ended every phone call or interaction with her family by saying, "I love you," leaving no doubt about her affection. She will be deeply missed by many.

Saundra departed this life of 83 years on Friday, February 21, 2025. She was preceded in death by her partner of 37 years Robert (Bob) Johnson, her parents Donna Ruth Boyd & Lawrence Brown Sr, her siblings Lawrence Jr, Michael, David, Kevin, Dorian, Christy, Judy, & Opal, and grandson Antwan D. Clark.

She is survived by her four boys Anthony (Kim), Damon (Shannon), Rodney (Renee), and Stephen (Buffie) Clark, her brothers Jerry (Sandy), Stephen, her sister Kim Brown, sister-in-law Charlotte Hicks, close friends Everlean Hunt, Kathy Taylor & Dora Mahurin, 13 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews and other family members.

A visitation for Saundra will be held Sunday, March 9, 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Crown Hill Funeral Home & Cemetery, 700 W. 38th St., Indianapolis, Indiana 46208, followed by a celebration of life at 2:00 PM.
