Sheila was born to Melvin (Puddie) Ezzell and Effie Hardesty Ezzell on March 3/4/1955 in
Indianapolis, IN.
Sheila first met he husband Melvin Taylor, who preceded her in death in Indianapolis. The long
friendship shared between Melvin and Sheila blossomed into marriage. Sheila embraced,
Melvin’s family as her own.
Sheila loved her dog, Maya and cat, Taylor.
Sheila was a dedicated worker and was loved by her co-workers, she worked for the Julian
Center, the Uniform House, and was working for Speedway Corp at the time of her death.
Sheila enjoyed sharing her thoughts and pictures to have friends and family on Facebook.
Throughout Sheila’s life, she had an unwavering faith in God, which she shared with those who
surrounded her. Sheila had an infectious smile that would light up the room, bringing great joy
to everyone she met.
Sheila joins her husband Melvin, her parents, Puddie & Effie Ezzell; her grandparents, Melvin &
Myrtle Ezzell; and a host of other family members and friends in Heaven.
She is survived by her long- time friend, George France; cousin, Leslie Smith; step daughter,
Sherita Bailey; brother in laws, Wilbur Russell Taylor II, Charles T. Taylor & Lloyd R. Taylor; sister
in laws, Brenda J. Roper & Shirley E. Smith; and grandchildren.
Due to the Covid 19 pandemic, the family has chosen to honor Sheila in the future with a
Celebration of Life ceremony.
In lieu, of flowers please make donations in Sheila’s name to the National Multiple Sclerosis
Society or the Indyhumane.
