Stacey Mae Brown, Indianapolis, 34, passed away Thursday, November 8, 2018. She was born April 16, 1984 in Indianapolis. She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Gordon and Frances Harris and Frances Brown and her step-mother, Denise Brown. In August 2013 Stacey became a hero as she was the perfect match and donor of a kidney for her sister and a part of her will always live on with her sister, Becka. She was a sports fan, especially the Yankees, and was proud to attend Derek Jeter’s last home game at Yankee Stadium. Stacey could always talk sports to anyone. She also enjoyed coaching kickball and volleyball at Our Lady of Lourdes a few years back. Stacey had an unlimited love of music. She listened to everything, from Bruce to Phish, country, hip hop and rap. When Stacey was born she was 5 weeks early and is known by everyone to be late for everything since. She had a friendly smile, contagious laugh, and was known to be the best hugger. Stacey never met a stranger and no matter where she went, always ran into people she knew. She was proud of each of her recent 164 days clean and was honored to chair a meeting and proud to be part of the Carvel Club. Her family is grateful to those involved with her recovery in the Stability into Sobriety house on North New Jersey over the last 5 months. She would light up any room she entered and will be dearly missed. Her family would like to thank all of the heartfelt messages they have received during their time of sadness and heartbreak. Her contagious smile and laugh will be missed by all. Stacey is survived by her mother, Nancy (Harris) Brown; father, Steven Brown; sister, Rebecka “Becka” Brown; partner, Glen Allman; 2 step-sisters, Nicole and Maikayla; step-brother, Zack; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Visitation will be 4-8pm Monday, November 12 at Feeney-Hornak Shadeland Mortuary, 1307 Shadeland Ave. Indianapolis, Indiana 46219. Her Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 am Tuesday, November 13 at Little Flower Catholic Church, 4720 E 13th St. Indianapolis, Indiana 46201.
