Stephanie Snowden-Lacy

Stephanie Snowden Lacy daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Huron and Gayle Morris was born March 4th 1957 in Detroit, Michigan. At an early age, Stephanie, with her family, moved to Indianapolis, Indiana. She professed Christ and was baptized at an early age.

Stephanie attended Indianapolis Public Schools and graduated from Crispus Attucks High School. Stephanie worked at Methodist hospital for many years and met life long friends. Later in life she discovered her passion for children, where she worked for Head Start and Polly Panda working as a preschool teacher for more than 10 years, she also obtained her CDA certificate from a University in Indianapolis. Stephanie then became a huge part of the Healthy Families program for Wishard Memorial Hospital, where she met many women and families, which she was still in contact with years later. Stephanie was promoted to become a Patient Navigator at the North Arlington Clinic for Eskenazi Hospital.

Stephanie rededicated her life to Christ, were she was baptized at Puritan Missionary Baptist church under Bishop Larry Grinstead. Stephanie also served as an usher for many years at Puritan. Stephanie later started attending New Beginnings Fellowship Church where planned to become a member.

Stephanie was a loving and caring mother grandmother daughter sister aunt and friend. Stephanie enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and family. Stephanie could always light up a room with her contagious personality. She enjoyed watching movies with her family and quoting movies lines was one of her favorite things to do. Although Stephanie only had 2 biological children, she was "Mama" to many, but the name that made her most proud was "NeNe", called by her 6 loving grandchildren . Stephanie had such a big heart and was always willing to lend a helping hand and be a friend to everyone that she encountered, she never met a stranger. Stephanie also enjoyed working in her yard, she looked forward to the spring so she could begin planting flowers. Cooking was also a passion of hers, anyone that came to her house was always welcome to food or something to drink (Coke).

Her loving grandparents Charles and Betsy Hardy father Huron Morris and her aunt Constance Marcy preceded Stephanie in death.

Those left to cherish her memories, mother Gayle Morris, one Son Shane (Nakisha) Banks, one daughter Ashley (Mark) Butler, six grandchildren Makiah Rhodes, Makenzie Johnson, Miley Leachman, Maddox Butler, London and Germany Banks, Son-like nephew Donald Carter, Three Brothers Broderick Hardy, Tedd(Pegg) Snowden, Quincy Morris, Three Sisters Stacy(Kenny) Jackson, Whitney (Juan) Beasley, Raquel Morris. 6 nephews five nieces a host of great nieces and nephews family members and many friends a very special friend/ sister Dewana Tigner Reed and her beloved pet and friend Zeus.

Stephanie has several Terms of Endearment, Mama, NeNe, TT, Lacy, SL. We'll all miss you and carry our own special memories of you in our hearts until we meet again
