Terrance Alan Moore

Terry Alan Moore, 71 passed away peacefully in his home in Greenwood, IN on Wednesday May 31st, 2023. Terry was “born at a very young age” (as he liked to say) in Richmond, Indiana on November 11, 1951. Terry loved spending time with his loving wife, four children, four grandchildren, family and friends. Terry never met a stranger and was so kind to everyone he met. Faith and family were the most important things to him and this rang true in his actions every day. Terry was always smiling, loved making people laugh had a joke for every situation. Terry was so strong in every aspect of the word and his strength will be remembered by his loving family and friends. Terry retired from a long career in sports broadcasting and real estate in the Indianapolis area, but he was known for being a jack of all trades and a great baseball player in his younger years. His love and professional level of sports knowledge was passed down to his children. Terry loved watching his children and grandchildren play sports. He even coached several teams and had a knack for knowing the rules just a little bit better than even the officials did! Terry Moore was preceded in death by his Father, Clediss Elmo Moore; mother, Margaret Jean Moore; sister, Kim Holmes and Nephew, Tadd Holmes. Terry is survived by his adoring Wifey for Lifey, Jeanne Moore; brother James (“Skip”) Moore and sister Jill Reynolds; Daughter Sara (Wade) Evans, Sons Ryan (Emily) Moore, Matt (Shelby) Moore and Alonzo (Kendall) Johnson; Grandchildren, Dakota, Tristian, Cain and Harper. Terry loved random acts of kindness and paying it forward. Whether this meant a larger tip for the server at a restaurant or buying the next person’s coffee at Starbucks, he was always finding ways to serve his community and brighten someones day. In lieu of flowers, the family would love for friends and family to “Pay it Forward” through a random act of kindness, in any way they see fit to honor Terry’s life. A Celebration of Life Party in Terry’s honor will be held on Sunday June 25th, 2023 from 12-3 PM at Folktale 243 S Madison Ave, Greenwood, IN.
