Thomas William Clements

Thomas William Clements, age 77, of Indianapolis, Indiana passed away peacefully on Monday, November 29, 2021 at home with his loving family by his side. Thomas was born in Indianapolis, Indiana to the late Thomas William and Mary Ann (Nicholson) Clements. He graduated from Ben Davis High School later on in his life to serve as a role model for his family. He retired from the Carpenters Union Local 758 after several years constructing many of the buildings downtown Indianapolis. He then formed Clements Remodeling and continued in the construction trade. He spent most of his free time feeding the homeless in need. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. He is preceded in death by his parents, his son in law, Curtis Steele, brother in laws, Gary Guzenda, Larry Harless and Roger Swinford. He married Joyce Brummitt on January 26, 1963 and she survives. Also surviving, his son, Bobby Clements with wife Kimberly, daughter, Sherrie Steele, daughter, Susie Rakes with husband Danny, and son Billy Clements; 5 sisters, Maryann Weir and her husband Tom, Karen Sue Guzenda, Sandy Harless, Joy Lee Smith and Peggy Swinford; grandchildren, Kyle, Jessica, Samuel, Sidney, Thomas, Brandy, Bridgette, Russell, Cindy, Amanda, Chris, Brittanie, Dylan, Jacob, Destiny, Abbie and Grace; he is also survived by several great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchilden. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 1, 2021 at Family Funeral Care, 5791 Rockville Rd., Indianapolis, IN 46224. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. following visitation at the funeral home. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
