Tim has two surviving sisters Cynthia James and Jackie Wells and his much loved deceased siblings, Sam and Mark Earley and NormaJean Hoffman.
Tim’s great love was his beautiful wife JoJo. They spent 57 happy years laughing, welcoming people into their home, and dancing in the kitchen. Tim attended Tech High School and worked as a pipefitter. He served bravely with the 25th Infantry in the Vietnam War, earning a Purple Heart and a Bronze Star for valor. He was a hero to our family as well, acting as a problem solver in all things. His grandkids always went to him for solid advice and direction. He could fix anything, build anything, and always knew what needed to be done. Tim had a great sense of humor and we all loved his mischievous grin and funny stories. He had a kind and understanding nature and never judged anyone. He instilled this in his children and grandchildren and taught us all how to be good and compassionate people. He loved the Indy 500 attending every year with family and his dear race buddies. He loved putting on the best fireworks display for the 4th of July which all the cousins looked forward to every year. He loved his family and friends so much and everyone who knows him knew he loved a good party with great music and cold beer.
Please join us to celebrate Tim’s life at Northside Events and Social Club (K of C) at 2100 E 71st St Indianapolis IN 46220 on April 4th, 2026 at 4:00pm.
