Timothy W. Kendrick, the eldest of five, was born in Indianapolis, IN to George W. Kendrick Jr. and Joann R. Kendrick on December 20, 1957. He attended Indianapolis Public School 51, graduating from Arsenal Technical H.S. and Indiana University.
Timothy had a sense of humor as tall as Mount Everest. His favorite quotes were, "Sorry about your luck" and "See you when I see you." He loved his family dearly and enjoyed spending time laughing and joking with them. Though he could bar-b-que, he enjoyed King Rib's every Tuesday with his mother, no matter how long the line. Back in the day, he loved taking trips to King's Island with his nieces. He had an unbreakable bond with ALL of his nieces and nephews, including his great-nieces and nephews. The two special women in his life were his mother Joann and sister Denise which he protected with every bone in his body. Timothy, Denise, Anthony, Michael, and Byron Keith had an indestructible relationship that most siblings desired and envied. They all cared for him until his last moments.
Timothy worked for Indiana University as an IT- Specialist for over 30 years and received numerous acknowledgements and awards. He mentored children through Little League football and church events. Tim was a chess wizard, ping-pong champion, basketball competitor, and card player. His passion for music was displayed by vinyl albums, 8-tracks, and cassettes stored in milk crates. Timmy enjoyed traveling, however, a few of his favorite trips were to California for a family reunion, and the surprise trips he took with his brothers to Pittsburg to see the Patriots vs. Steelers and Miami Beach.
Timothy's star shot into the heavens on Thursday, August 22, 2019. He was proceeded in death by his father George W. Kendrick Jr. and his step-brother Nicholas Washum. Timothy leaves his loving memories with: his mother Joann R. Kendrick; sister, Denise Bates (Rodney); brothers, Anthony (Christine), Michael (Karen), Byron Keith Kendrick (Eddie); step-brother Michael Richmond Jr.; children Alex and Renita Kendrick; with a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, loving relatives, friends and an extended family.
TIMMY, KNOW WE WOULD LIKE TO THANK YOU; NO NEED TO TELL US WE'RE WELCOME. WE WILL ALWAYS REMEMBER WE ARE THE KENDRICKS!
