Tracy was born to the late John and Betty Jean Richmond on June 1, 1954, in New Bedford Massachusetts. She lived in Bedford until she was 16 before moving to Bargersville, Indiana in 1970. She attended Center Grove High School where she graduated in 1972.
After a variety of odd jobs, she was hired on by USPS (downtown Indianapolis) as an automation clerk in December of 1977, which she maintained employment until her retirement after thirty-one and a half years.
Tracy loved sketching, photography, cooking, gardening, and reading. Some of her happiest memories were visits to Middleboro, Massachusetts with her dad's family- especially with the Craig cousins, Uncle Arthur, and Aunt Joanne, Dad's twin sister. Tracy said they were the "brothers and sisters she wished she had" and remained lifelong friends.
Tracy met her future husband, Michael Deatline, working in the Box Section in March of 2002. They later married and spent twenty-one loving years as best friends, side by side.
Along with her husband, Michael Deatline, Tracy is survived by her stepson, Chris (Angie) Deatline, and her two grandchildren: Anna Grace and Beckett Deatline.
