Veda Nadine Sloan, 72, passed away on Monday, April 27th, 2026 at the St. Francis Hospice House. On February 20, 1954, she was born to parents Leonard Russell and Edna Mills. Veda attended Wood High School in Indianapolis and graduated in 1972.
Veda is survived by her mother, Edna Mills; son Todd Albertson (wife Shelly); daughter Hope Albertson; granddaughters Kaylea Collins (husband Ethan), Emilea Albertson (fiancee Jared Tucker) and Tara Albertson; great grandson Jackson Collins; siblings Judy Allen, Anita Bryant, Elaine Maple, and Anthony Mills; and many nieces and nephews.
Veda was preceded in death by her husband Allen Sloan, father Leonard Russell, stepfather Glenwood Mills, sister Diane Elmore, granddaughter Ashlea Albertson, and niece Lanita Russell.
Visitation will be on Friday, May 1, 2026 at the Crown Hill Funeral Home, 700 W. 38th St., Indianapolis, IN, 46208 (use the 38th St./Clarendon entrance) from noon until 2:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Crown Hill Cemetery.
