William Howard Blakemore

William, during his career worked at the historic Majestic Building as Head of Maintenance, Assembler for Chrysler and during Retirement for Walmart also as an Assembler. His passion for professional photography allowed him to capture images of great Musicians such as Dizzy Gillespie and Thelonious Monk due to his love of Jazz music. He was an avid collector of coins and stamps & enjoyed Bird Watching. He served in the Army and the Air Force in Radio Communications and fought in the Korean War.

William leaves to cherish his memory his daughters; Tonya (Richard) Kimbrough-Reynolds and Lisa Blakemore, sister Elaine Edwards, grandchildren; Jordan (Braylon) Reynolds-Myers, Richard "Maeson" Reynolds and Coleman Reynolds, and great grandson; Braxton Myers. Also, nieces and nephews; Sheila Wilson, Kevin and Gregory Smith, Brent (Dania), Bryan (Kathy) and Felicia Lehmann, Autumn Nikki (Brent) Howell, Aaron (Alia) Edwards, Felecia Lehman, Jeffrey Smith and Steve Smith, Sr. and 6 great nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life for William will be held Saturday, May 17, 2025 at 12:00 PM at New Revelation Christian Church, 6701 Oaklandon Rd, Indianapolis, Indiana 46236 with a memorial visitation from 11:00am until time of service.
