

William attended Indianapolis Public Schools #110 and Northwest High School. He also attended Ivy Tech Community College.
William also known to his family and friends as Wimmie or Will resided most of his life in Indianapolis except for living in San Francisco, CA, Los Angeles, CA , and Lafayette IN.
William dedicated his life to Christ at the age of 8 years old and was baptized at Pilgrim Baptist Church. William had previously been employed at Sealed Air, Greenwood Village South, LGC, Allison Transmission and most recently at the Metropolitan School District Of Washington Township.
William was a sports enthusiast. His favorite teams are the Indianapolis Colts and The Indiana Pacers. William was a dog lover (even strays). He also enjoyed feeding the birds and growing plants. William was a believer in God's word and would read the bible often. He had a kind and loving spirit as well as a big heart.
William is preceded in death by grandparents Bill Salisbury, Pauline( Ross) Salisbury, Ray Harvey, Anna (Harvey) Crawford, father James Salisbury, brother Michael Salisbury, uncle Frederick Whitley, aunts Lavonne (Harvey) Boone, Linda (Salisbury) Johnson.
William is survived by son Devin Richardson and daughter Elisha Grey, 4 grandchildren, his mother Carolyn Salisbury, aunt Doris Whitley, nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.
A visitation will be held on February 12, 2026, from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm at Crown Hill Funeral Home, located at 700 W. 38th St., Indianapolis, IN, 46208. A Celebration of Life will follow at 1PM at the same location with Pastor Gerald Trotter of Christ Holiness Church officiating. Burial will follow at Crown Hill Cemetery.
