
He was born on September 17, 1965 in Toledo, OH to Edwin and Rita Walasinski. He attended St. Catherine of Sienna grade school and St. Francis de Sales High School, where he was on the debate team. While on a debate scholarship to West Virginia University, he earned a degree in chemical engineering. His career was with Lilly in process safety engineering.
He was an avid bird watcher and photographer. Warbler migration found him at Eagle Creek Park or Magee Marsh and other areas along Lake Erie for the Best Week in Birding. On his travels to Italy, Austria, Germany, Switzerland, Hungry, France, Belgium, Ireland, Brazil, or China, he enjoyed finding new birds. Any stone structure (cathedral, castle ruins) would be a subject of his photography.
He is survived by his wife, Marie Theobald of Indianapolis, sister Mary (Phillip) Barger of Riga, MI, brother Tim (Nan) Walasinski of Sylvania, OH, and sister Anne Walasinski Hohly of Toledo, OH, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edwin and Rita (Wroblewski) Walasinski, and brother-in-law Charlie Hohly.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 31 at 12:00 noon at St. Thomas Aquinas church in Indianapolis with calling two hours prior to the funeral at the church.
Services and burial will be on Saturday, November 30 at 10:00 am at St. Catherine of Sienna church in Toledo with calling one hour prior to the funeral at the church.
