Emily Faye Courington

Emily Faye Courington, 76, of Coffeeville, entered into rest on Monday, September 7, 2015. She attended the Jackson Church of Christ. Funeral services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Wednesday, September 9, 2015 at Lathan Funeral Home in Jackson with the Rev. Scott Baggett and William Harper officiating. Visitation will begin one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Jones Chapel Church of Christ in Coffeeville with Lathan Funeral Home directing. Mrs. Courington was born to Ossie and Nonie Robinson in Coffeeville on February 4, 1939. After graduating high school, Faye married Bruce Courington in 1956. Faye was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She was a reading teacher’s aide, and later became a seamstress at Vanity Fair where she retired. Faye enjoyed crocheting, taking walks, spending time with family and attending church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ossie and Nonie Robinson; son, Bruce Robinson Courington; husband, Bruce Edward Courington; brother, Fuqua Robinson and sisters, Mabel Robinson and Josephine Courington. Survivors include her daughter, Donna Lynn (Adam) Mathews; granddaughter, Madalyn Mathews Parnell; great-granddaughter, Harper Lane Parnell; sisters, Helen (Jimmy) Cleiland, Barbara (William) Thrash and Charlene(Freddie) Courington.
