Ernest Kenneth Roberts Sr.

Ernest Kenneth Roberts, Sr., 80, of Coffeeville died November 4, 2015 at his residence. He was born December 19, 1934. An active member of Jones Chapel Church of Christ, he was also a member of the Coffeeville Fire Department and worked with Brown and Root Construction until retirement. He was preceded in death by his parents, Nellie Grey and Clarence Roscoe Roberts and grandson, Joey Bartel. He is survived by his wife, Frances Joanne Roberts; children, Connie (Charles) Reid, Barry (Sue) Roberts and E.K. “Ken” (Terry) Roberts, Jr.; grandchildren, Nicholas Reid, Charlie Reid, Cullen Roberts, Carley Roberts, Colton Roberts, Sabrina Roberts and four great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. on Friday, November 6, 2015 at Jones Chapel Church of Christ in Coffeeville with the Revs. Jim Whidden and Steve Jacks officiating. Visitation will begin one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will follow the service in the church cemetery with Lathan Funeral Home directing.
