Janice Voncile Daugherty

Janice Voncile Daugherty, 86, a resident of Mobile, AL passed away on Friday, December 11, 2015. Mrs. Daugherty was born on June 3, 1929. She was raised in Millry, AL and after graduating from high school, she went on to attend Livingston University. She taught briefly at McIntosh Elementary School before joining the staff at Searcy Hospital. She was an active member of the McIntosh United Methodist Church, enjoyed travel, friends and family. Janice was preceded in death by her husband, Vivian Daugherty. Survivors include her children: Belinda Daugherty Jones (Ken), Rene Daugherty Reynolds (Ronnie), Mark Daugherty (Deneese) and Craig Daugherty; grandchildren, Jeremy Reynolds, Casey Reynolds Reed, Adam Reynolds, Zach Jones and Brittany Daugherty Brown; great-grandchildren, Adrienne, Joseph, Raegan , Cassidy, Gabe, Justin, Camry and Chloe. Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 14, 2015 at 11AM at McIntosh United Methodist Church with Rev. Earl Watson officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time. Pallbearers will be Zach Jones, Jeremy Reynolds, James Louis Whigham, Kenny Coleman, Joseph Reed and Howard Daugherty.
