
Minnie Mae Holder, 96, a resident of Jackson, AL passed away on Wednesday, March 16, 2016. She was born in Choctaw County, AL on May 7, 1919 to Wyatt Thomas Carlisle and Eva Lucas Carlisle. Mrs. Holder worked as an inspector at Vanity Fair for many years. She loved her church, McCann's United Methodist Church, where she was an active member of the choir and was a Sunday School teacher. She enjoyed sewing, gardening, cooking and loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren!! Mrs. Holder was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Willie Maynard Holder, three sisters and a brother. She is survived by her three daughters: Martha Bedsole, Earline (Bill) Pearce and Evelyn (Joe) Carpenter, all of Jackson, AL; six grandchildren: Paige (Chad) Peacock, Will (Jennifer) Pearce, Kelly (Tammy) Carpenter, JoEllen (Ryan) Gates, Clint (Heather) Odom and Mendy (Mark) Boldin; and nineteen great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Monday, March 21, 2016 from 10-11am at Lathan Funeral Home with a graveside immediately following at Trinity Memorial Gardens with Rev.
