Mr. Abner Francis Mullins, 88, died October 22, 2010 at Hospice Ministries. Funeral services are scheduled for 2 PM Monday, October 25, 2010 at Baldwin-Lee Funeral Chapel in Jackson with interment in Lakewood Memorial Park. Visitation will be Sunday from 3-5 PM.
Mr. Mullins was a WWII veteran serving in the US Navy where he was a senior grade pilot and instructor. Mr. Mullins served as school principal of Lee Elementary, enjoyed wood carving, refinishing furniture and his fellowship with the Pearl River Woodworkers Club.
He is preceded in death by his son-in-law, Billy Vanlandingham, brothers, Harry R. Mullins and Robert Mullins and sister, Louise Waldrop.
He is survived by his wife, Violet A. Mullins of Jackson; daughters, Sandra Grantham (Dallas) of Pearl and Diane Vanlandingham of Terry; 6 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren.
