Ms. Barbara Ann Wells Perkins died August 15, 2014 at St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson, MS surrounded by those she loved dearly and that loved her. Visitation will be held at Lakewood Funeral Home on Sunday, August 17, 2014 from 5-7 PM. Funeral services will be held at 12 noon on Monday, August 18, 2014 at Lakewood Funeral Home with visitation one hour prior. Interment to follow at Lakewood Memorial Park.
She was born May 8, 1931 in Ackerman ,MS to the late Albert Wells and Thelma Worrell Wells. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Barbara was affectionately known as ‘Gammy”. She retired after a long and honorable career from Packard Electric/ Delphi where she made many close and dear friends. Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Horace Wells, and a daughter Sharon Elizabeth Bryant. She is survived by one sister Mary Evelyn Jones in Fairfax, VA, a son David Boykin, a daughter Teresa Cronin (Pat), 6 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
