Davis R. Johns, Jr., 57, passed away on Monday, August 15, 2016. Visitation will be held at Lakewood Funeral Home on Thursday, August 18, 2016 from 12:30 to 1:30 PM with a graveside service to follow at Lakewood Memorial Park officiated by Dr. Bobby Dungan.
Davis started cleaning floors at McRae’s Dept. Store in Westland Plaza while attending Mississippi College. He then advanced to store manager over Mississippi, Alabama, and Louisiana for a span of 35 years. He enjoyed fishing with his friends on his days off.
He is survived by his wife, Sacia Johns; parents, Davis R. Johns, Sr. and Nettie Johns; daughters, Taylor Rae and Shelby Catherine Johns; brother, Ruston M. Johns; sister, Carol Johns Reeves (Jon); nephew, Peyton and niece, Kailey.
