

Mr. Don D. Regan, 87, retired sales representative, died on Sunday, April 16, 2017 at St. Dominic Hospital. Visitation will be held at Lakewood Funeral Home on Thursday, April 20, 2017 from 5:00 to7:30 PM and Friday from 10:00 to 11:00 AM. Funeral services will be held on Friday at 11:00 AM in the funeral home chapel with interment to follow at Lakewood Memorial Park.
A native of Lexington, North Carolina, Don was the youngest of 11 children born to the late Remer and Arnie Vivian Regan. He graduated from North Carolina State University in 1953 with a degree in animal industry. He entered in the U.S. Army and served with an extra heavy artillery unit. After two years he left the service as a First Lieutenant to pursue his career. Don worked 11 years with American Cyanamid and 30 years with Alpharma. His travels led him through Merouge, Louisiana where he met his wife Ray. They moved to Clinton in 1963. Don became an active member at Mt. Salus Presbyterian Church and served that church as both deacon and elder. He moved to Providence Presbyterian Church in 2003.
He is preceded in death by his daughter, Terri D. Regan Harrison.
Don is survived by his wife, Ray Dixon Regan; son-in-law, Edward Harrison; grandchildren, Regan Emily Bryan and Joshua D. Bryan, all of Clinton; and one brother, Bruce Regan of Lexington, NC.
