Donald Wesley Smith, 88, passed away on Friday, December 24, 2021. A committal service will be held at Lakewood Memorial Park on Tuesday, December 28 at 11:00 AM with interment to follow at Lakewood Memorial Park.
Mr. Smith was a proud veteran who fondly remembered his time as a pitcher for the US Navy baseball team. He enjoyed fishing and watching baseball and he was a longtime member of Van Winkle Baptist Church.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Nancy Arrington Smith; parents, Clarence Wesley Smith and Mary Martha Logan Smith; and siblings, Mark Wayne Smith and Barbara Smith Jackson.
Mr. Smith is survived by his children, Robert Smith (Deborah) and Donna Martin (Mike), 5 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
