Mrs. Derrick was born in Tallahatchie County, MS in 1944. She was the daughter of Thomas James Denley and Linnie Mae King Denley. She had recently moved to Byram after living in Pulaski, MS for 25 years. She enjoyed country living and watching nature out her front window. She was an avid book reader and enjoyed going to the casino from time to time.
Mrs. Derrick was preceded in death by her husband, Otho Ralph Derrick, parents Thomas James and Linnie Mae King Denley, brothers - George, Lawrence, Edgar and Joe Denley and sisters -Mary Eubanks, Eunice McKee and Velma Denley.
Mrs. Derrick is survived by her two daughters, Cathy Wright (Alan) of Florence, MS, Lynn Reagin (Charles) of Byram, MS; two granddaughters, Stephanie Coleman (Jesse) of Pearl, MS, and Lindsey Sumrall (Thian) of New Mexico and two great granddaughters in MS and one great grandson due in April 2022. She is also survived by one brother, Robert Denley (Paula) of Terry, MS.
