A visitation for Dorothy will be held Wednesday, December 21, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Pleasant Ridge Missionary Baptist Church, 6596 Pleasant Ridge Rd, Hickory, MS, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM. A pavilion service will be held after the funeral service at 3:00 PM at Lakewood Memorial Park.
Dorothy enjoyed crafts and sewing for the public. She was a longtime member of Midway Baptist Church and current member of Pleasant Ridge Missionary Baptist Church.
Dorothy is preceded in death by her parents, Ernest Gerrard and Ivy May Davis Gerrard; husbands, William Kinard, Jr. and John Flynt; four sisters. She is survived by son, Robert Kinard (Janet) and his children, Brent, Brian, David and Marty; daughter, Peggy Jo Smith and her children, Jamie, Danny,Todd, Amanda, Paul and Gavin; aunt, Winnie Davis; cousin, Dicky; seven great-grandchildren; several great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
