Beth was born in Jackson, MS on January 31, 1958 to Jim and Sara Jane Henry. She attended high school at Jackson Prep and graduated from Belhaven College. She then went on to Mississippi College where she received a Masters in Elementary Education.
She went on to teach school for a number of years and, in addition, was also a loving and affectionate Sunday school teacher at Briarwood Presbyterian Church, of which she was a life-long and active member.
She was a devoted daughter, a loyal friend to many, and a great aunt. She was an outstanding cook and enjoyed making sweets for her family and friends.
She is survived by her brother, Brock Henry of Jackson, her niece and nephew, Jordan and Webb Henry of Madison, and her cousin, Jack Caldwell of Atlanta.
The family extends their gratitude to all her friends and extended family, both young and old, and especially to her Briarwood family for their love for Beth. We are also grateful for the care and interest given to her by Dr. Douglas Wolfe and Dr. Marion Wofford, who kept her tired but loving heart going.
A graveside service will be held at Lakewood Cemetery at 9a.m. on Wednesday, February 27, 2013 followed by a visitation at Briarwood Presbyterian Church at 10:30a.m. with a memorial service to follow at 11:30a.m.
Memorials may be made to Briarwood Presbyterian Church.
