Frances Townsend Cockrell, 88, passed away on Friday, January 16, 2015. She was born on June 2, 1926 in Ruleville, MS. She married Isom N. Cockrell in June of 1944. They had two sons, James Isom Cockrell of Pocahontas, MS and Larry L. Cockrell of North Carolina. She was preceded in death by many brothers and sisters. Survivors include two sons; James I. Cockrell of Pocahontas, MS and Larry L. Cockrell of North Carolina; three grandsons, Wayne Cockrell, Travis Cockrell, and David Cockrell; two great grandchildren, Christopher Cockrell and Tatum Cockrell. Visitation will be held Monday, January 19, 2015 from 5:00pm to 7:00pm at Lakewood Funeral Home in Jackson, MS and Tuesday January 20, 2015 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am. Funeral Services will be at 11:00 am January 20, 2015 at Lakewood Funeral Home.
