George Homer Heflin

Mr. Heflin was born June 2, 1946 and passed away on September 4, 2020. Visitation will be Monday, September 7, 5-7pm at Lakewood Funeral Home on Clinton Blvd with the service Tuesday at 2 pm with visitation 1 hour preceding.

Mr. Heflin was a self-employed mechanic kept him close to the race car sport which he truly enjoyed. He was a fan of drag racing and round track racing in which he participated in both. This was evident to those who knew him. He never met a stranger and was always willing to help anyone however possible. He had a giving heart that was seen by many.

He was preceded in death by his parents Homer and Minnie Lou Heflin. He is survived by his wife of 50 years Linda, 2 sisters Ann James (Thomas) of Vicksburg, Linda Chaney (Danny) of Clinton, Brother Hugh (Sue) of Brandon, sister-in-law Barbara Harrell, mother-in-law Myrtis Sant and many nieces and nephews.
