Georgia Ann Pate May , 74, went to be with the Lord on Friday, December 30, 2016 at home surrounded by her family. Visitation will be held on Monday, January 2, 2017 at Lakewood South Funeral Home, 430 McCluer Rd, Jackson, MS from 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM with funeral services to follow at the funeral home chapel.
Georgia was born on December 31, 1941. She was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church and loved her Lord and Savior. She found great comfort in knowing he had a special place for her in his Kingdom. She instilled this in her everyday life and love for others. She loved to be with family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents Cecil and Elba Pearl Pate, her loving husband James "Brownie" May, and many other friends and relatives.
She is survived by her daughters, Melanie (Alan) Wade, Sabrena (Toby) Britt; brother, Dwight (Linda) Pate; sister-in-law, Shirley (Bob) Richards and their daughter, Kristi; grandchildren, Christina (James) Henderson, Blake (Danielle) Wade, Cody Britt; great-grandchildren, Auden, Abbie, Luke, and Wyatt Henderson, Braxton and Colton Wade and many other beloved friends and relatives.
