

Harold Curtis Robinson, a native of Jackson and a long-time resident of Raymond, MS passed away on March 2, 2025, at the age of 98. Born on June 22,1926, to Maggie Nell Hawkins and Halford Blaine Robinson, Harold graduated from Central High School and entered the Army Air Force in December 1944, where he was trained as an airplane mechanic. Harold served in the post-war occupation forces and was stationed in France and Germany. After his discharge in 1946, he returned to Jackson and began working for his father and uncle at Robinson Brothers Auto Repair Shop in Jackson. Later, he was the parts manager for Cummins Diesel for twenty-two years and retired in 1985. Harold enjoyed collecting Indian artifacts and memorabilia from the Civil War, World War I and World War II. Over the years, he spent many happy days shopping at flea markets and garage sales. He was a member of the Jackson Model A Club and held various club offices. Harold took great joy in his many collections including Indian arrowheads, coins, stamps, and records from the Big Band era.
Harold was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 44 years, Jeanne, as well as his parents and infant son, Allen Curtis Robinson. He is survived by his sons, Mark (Becky) and Don (Charlene); five grandchildren, Brett (Kelly), Reed (Gillian), Race (Alyse), Dash (Emily) and Michele; and 10 great-grandchildren.
After moving to Raymond in 1980, Harold and Jeanne joined Raymond Road Baptist Church, where they were active members of the “Joy Lunch Group” and were also part of the church’s mission team that worked with the ministries of Calvary Baptist Church. After Jeanne’s death, Harold remained an active member of his Sunday School class and enjoyed ushering during worship services.
The family would like to thank Brookdale of Clinton, where he has resided for three years. The family would also like to thank Raymond Road Baptist Church and the visiting team for their love and support over many years. Special thanks to Sarah Foreman and Accent Care Hospice Services and to caregiver Vickie Jackson, as well as the owners and other caregivers of Southern Homecare for their expertise, sincere concern, kindness, and gentle care.
Visitation will be held at Lakewood Funeral Home in Clinton on Thursday March 6, 2025, from 10:00 until II:00 with a private family burial service to follow officiated by Reverend Aaron Tucker. Pallbearers include grandsons Brett, Reed, and Race Robinson, great-grandson Case Robinson, and long-time neighbor and friend Shaun Wheeler. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Raymond Road Baptist Church in honor of his memory.
