

Helen McKay Ferrell, 94, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Saturday, January 29, 2022 at Brookdale Clinton Assisted Living. Helen was born in Jackson, MS to the late B.T. and Elsie McKay. She graduated from Central High School in Jackson, MS after which she began working for J.C. Penney Company. She soon met her “sweetheart” Milton Ferrell, whom she married, and enjoyed a beautiful marriage for sixty-seven years. They shared a happy life with two sons, Mickey and Jeff Ferrell. Their “church home” was Highland Baptist Church in Jackson where they were very dedicated members in serving their Lord and raising their sons. Mrs. Ferrell also joined her husband in Christian service through Gideons International. She enjoyed traveling and cooking, but most of all, spending time with her husband and family.
Mrs. Ferrell was preceded in death, by her husband, Milton, and son, Mickey Ferrell. Survivors include Jeff and Linda Ferrell of Clinton, sisters-in-law Helen Pierce of Ridgeland and Bonnie Parkison of Cookeville, TN, 3 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and 6 great, great grandchildren. She is also survived by Vicki Jefcoat, the widow of Mickey Ferrell.
The family would like to thank Brookdale Clinton for their very special care of Helen while a resident there and Lakeshia Johnson who was also her special caregiver for many years.
