Mr. Hilton Wayne Dyar, Sr., 88, passed away on June 29, 2015. Visitation will be held from 11:00am to 12:30pm on Friday, July 3rd at Lakewood Funeral Home in Jackson. A graveside service will follow at 1:00pm at Lakewood Memorial Park.Mr. Dyar was born on April 27, 1927 in Lumberton, MS to the late, Lionel Carlos and Lucy Roberts Dyar. He graduated from Forest Hill High School where he excelled in football and basketball. He joined the Navy in 1945 serving a short time before receiving an honorable discharge in 1946. He married Loyce Tucker in 1945, and they recently celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary. He began working with Edison Brothers Shoe Company in 1947, and retired from the company in 1989.Mr. Dyar is survived by his wife, Loyce; son, Hilton Dyar, Jr. (Carolyn); daughters, Darlene Sullivan (Jimmy), and Beverly Dyar; grandchildren, Travis Dyar (Jessica), Jason Dyar (Dee), Melissa Woods (Matt), and Jeremy Sullivan (Jamie); brother, G.G.
