James Daniel Shields, 18 - died Wednesday, January 21, 2015. James enjoyed playing the guitar, was involved in ROTC, and was a gun enthusiast with hopes of entering law enforcement or the military. He played football while in Jr. High at Pearl, enjoyed aerosoft paintball, and karaoke. James never met a stranger. He is survived by his parents, Jerald D. Shields and Christina Shields; grandparents: William Leon Hayes (Patricia), and Dorothy H. Shields; brother Hunter Shields; sister Chastity Shields; uncles: Tommy Sapp (Susan) and Robin Sapp; aunts: Denise Bell and Ginny Sapp; and numerous relatives and friends. Visitation will be held from 5 pm - 8 pm Monday, Jan. 26 at Lakewood Funeral Home and Tuesday, Jan. 27 from 12 pm - 2 pm The service will begin at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with interment following in Lakewood Memorial Park.
