Mr. James C. Tait, 89, passed away on Saturday, March 14, 2015, at Premier Health and Rehab in North Little Rock, AR. Visitation will be held at Lakewood Funeral Home on Friday, March 20, 2015, from 12-1 PM. A graveside service will be held on Friday at 1 PM at Lakewood Memorial Park.
Mr. Tait lived most of his life in the Bolton, MS area where he enjoyed hunting and taking care of his place. His career as a welder included welding on one of the first off-shore drilling rigs, travel to many countries around the world setting up and repairing off-shore rigs, and teaching welding.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Bernice Walker Tait; parents, Fred and Bertie Oaks Tait; and 5 siblings.
Mr. Tait is survived by his daughter, Sharelle Tait Herndon (Barry) of Maumelle, AR; grandchildren, James Brian Herndon (Cindy) of Little Rock, AR and Tracy Herndon-Elliott (Joe) of Sherwood, AR; and great grandchild, Isabella Herndon of Little Rock, AR.
