Jenny Lee

Jenny Ellen Pierce Lee, 69, died Wednesday, August 18 at a Jackson area hospital after a long illness. She was born June 15, 1952 in Columbia, MS to Wayne T. and Billie J. Bourne Pierce. She owned a small business in Jackson and was also a resident of Pascagoula, MS.

Jenny worked hard all her life and was a successful businesswoman. She played hard, as well. She loved to travel, and was a fan of Caribbean cruises. She and husband James also enjoyed time in Destin, FL and at Mexico’s pristine resorts and beaches.

She was married 51 years to her rock, best friend and partner in crime, James T. Lee. They were inseparable. Also left to cherish her memory are a son and daughter: Chad Lee (Laura) of Lucedale and Aimee Lee of Pascagoula; grandchildren Kesley and Braelyn Lee of Lucedale, Laython Maples and Brittney Furby Lee of Pascagoula; great-grandchildren Hunter Furby Lee, Kaesen Tanner, and Ayian Lee; and a sister, DeDe Pierce Alderman (Kenny) and a number of special nieces and nephews.

Jenny was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Betty Hathorn and a brother, Tommy Pierce.

Burial will follow the August 23 funeral service at Lakewood Memorial Cemetery in Jackson.
