Jewel Smith Shaw

Jewel Shaw went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, Thursday, February 26, 2015 at the age of 92. Jewel was born to Seth and Mae Smith April 9, 1922 in Wesson Mississippi. Jewel was a devout Christian who loved the Lord with all of her heart. Always sharing God’s love, Jewel never missed an opportunity to tell of the love of Jesus with her family and people she met along life’s path. Jewel passed away peacefully at Northeast Florida Community Hospice in Fernandina Beach FL.

Preceding her in death were her loving husband, Herman Shaw, and all of her brothers and sisters.

Jewel is survived by her two sons, Sid Shaw, wife (Shelly), Miramar, FL; Rick Shaw, wife (Nancy), Jacksonville FL; Grandchildren; Tracy Graham, husband (Bob), Crystal Springs MS, Cindy Walker, husband (Flash), Clinton MS, Andy Shaw, wife (Denise), Lakeland FL, Todd Shaw, wife (Alanna), Jacksonville FL, Raeanne Corson, Jacksonville, FL; Beloved great grandchildren; Brad, Cody, Jared, Jacob, Audrey, Drew, Robby, and Madison.

Graveside service and viewing will be held at Lakewood Memorial Park, 6000 Clinton Boulevard, Tuesday, March 3, 2015, with viewing at 12 p.m. and graveside service at 2 p.m.
