

She loved her family with a generous heart. She is survived by her daughter, Darlene Vickers; grandchildren, Chelsie and Natalie; her son, Rob Vickers (Rachel); grandson, Gus and granddaughter, Addie. She was blessed with four great grandchildren, Aziz, Zara, Vivienne and Sumner.
Her children’s joys and accomplishments were hers as well. She was a very proud mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She is also survived by her siblings, Ben and Patsy who held a special place in her life.
Her accomplishments were many in her 40+ years in the real estate business. “The Land Lady” as she was known, the first female president of Mississippi Farm and Land Association. She sold thousands of acres of timberland, hunting land, building and selling homes in Hinds County and surrounding areas.
She also had a love for Native American Art and artifacts that was evident in all parts of her life. She and her late husband, Carroll did extensive RV traveling covering all but one state.
She had a full colorful life. She was very loved and she always said “You are going to miss me when I am gone” and she is right.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 23, 2023 from 5 pm to 7 pm at Lakewood Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held on Monday, April 24, 2023 at 10 am at Edwards Cemetery.
