John Wouda Christensen, 95, of Jackson, died on October 12, 2015. John was born in Jackson, MS on June 10, 1920 to Walter Christian Christensen and Jans Wouda Christensen. He graduated from Central High School and entered the U.S. Army serving in Africa, Italy, France and Germany during World War II. He was married to Dorothea Colbert Christensen and after the war lived and worked in Jackson until 1975. He was an Industrial Contractor. He and Mrs. Christensen moved to Diamondhead, MS where they enjoyed many years of fishing and playing golf.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 66 years, Dorothea Colbert Christensen; his parents; a sister, Grace Christensen Burke; and brothers, Burt Paul and Walter Christian Christensen. He is survived by a number of nieces and nephews.
There will be a private graveside service.
