Joseph Lewis Clower, 82, Brandon, passed away on February 20, 2015 at St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson, MS. Joe was born to Joseph L. Sr. and Winifred Clower Hansell on September 19, 1932 in Memphis, TN. Following his graduation from Memphis Technical High School, Joe began his eleven year career with Gerber Baby Food Company, after which he relocated to Jackson, MS where he created Humphrey Clower Food Brokerage Company. Over the next 30 years, he was blessed to grow his company regionally until his retirement in 1988.
In addition to his business successes, Joe was dedicated to loving his family, friends, and pets well. He was an avid golfer and spent much of his time volunteering and serving others through various organizations such as Gleaners and Gideons International.
Joe is survived by his wife that he adored, Patricia Harris, four children, his beloved grandchildren, and his goddaughter.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 22, 2015 at Lakewood Funeral Home from 1:00 until 3:00 PM. A service to celebrate his life will begin at 3:00 PM.
