It’s been eight years since you’ve been taken from us, but I still find myself thinking about you and all the memories we shared together.  From driving our toy jeeps in the mud hole where Mammaw and Papaw were building their pond and trick or treating in Flora or Clinton together, to playing NCAA against each other on the PlayStation 2 and listening to Lil Wayne and Eminem outside under the car port on Thanksgiving and Christmas. These memories conflict in my mind and i am always left torn between bursting into tears knowing that you are gone, or smiling at the stupid things you and I used to get into.  It brings me peace at mind knowing that God has you waiting at the gates of heaven waiting for the rest of the family,  along with Mammaw and Papaw. You were taken way too soon, and the man upstairs knows that I hold a grudge to this day for taking my best friend away, but I know that he has his plans for everyone and that everything happens for a reason. You will always have a place in our hearts and your absences could never be filled. You were a great spirited young man who could bring light into any and every situation no matter the circumstances. Your personality was most certainly one of a kind and you were always self driven to do better for yourself.  I never got to tell you how proud of you I was with all of  the progress and changes you made throughout the years to improve yourself as a person. I feel you here with me in spirit daily, helping and guiding me through my toughest battles in life and I thank you for that. 
 I have always and will always love you Josh.

words cant explain the way I feel when you come to mind, you were always there. I miss waking up to see you asleep on the couch , or pretending to be bc of Alanna. I miss going outside to see you walking up to my house. we have some crazy memories, it still hurts me that your gone, but I see now that its selfish for me to want you to come back. your in the most amazing place, why would I want you back here? the worlds always been a broken place, when you were here I never focused on the brokenness of the world though, because your smile lit up the world,. I think about you a lot still, and it hurts, but I kno that you are watching over everyone. I love you jb , truly blessed.

OMG i can not believe it. It just doesn't seem real to me. I just saw him not to long ago and he's gone just like that. He was a great person and very fun to be around. He was always there for me when I needed him and he never complained he was unexplainably amazing  ....I love you and miss you dearly Josh fly high with the angels. I can't wait to see you again. I am so sorry for the family's lost josh was a great friend to me as was always there when I needed him to be. He lived right up the street walking past his house and not hearing my name called won't be the same. He will truly be missed but not forgotten
