Lucy Ann Phillips Weeks

Lucy Phillips Weeks, 82, died Monday April 22, 2013. Funeral services will be held Thursday April 25, 2013 from the chapel of Wright & Ferguson Funeral Home High Street. Visitation will be Wednesday from 5:00pm till 7:00pm and Thursday from 9:00am till service time. Burial will be in Lakewood South Cemetery.

Mrs. Weeks was born in Braxton, MS on December 11, 1930 to Willie and Eva Mae Phillips. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Braxton, MS. She retired from South Central Bell Telephone Company in Jackson, with 32 years of service.

She was preceded in death by her late husband, James D. Weeks, and three daughters, Betty Lou Gressett, Louise Gressett, and Lisa Hudson, and stepson, Tommy Earl Weeks.

Survivors include daughter, Theresa Jones, of Raymond, son, Rickey Gressett (Kim) of Raymond, Stepdaughters, Shirley Williams (Buddy), of Jackson and Brenda Morris of Georgia, Stepson, Jimmy Weeks (June) of Prentiss. She is survived by sixteen grandchildren, and twenty-three great grandchildren, and many longtime friends, nurses and caretakers.
