Sadie Lynell Bailey Ervin, 97, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, July 27, 2013. She is preceded in death by her husband, Vernon Oliver Ervin, daughter, Lynda Faye Ervin, and brothers Sidney Bailey and Hugh Bailey.

Graveside Services will be held Tuesday July 30, 2013 at 10:00 AM in the Crystal Springs Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday between the hours of 6 and 8 PM at Wright and Ferguson Funeral Home in Jackson.

Mrs. Ervin was born and raised in Crystal Springs. She was a 1934 graduate of Crystal Springs Consolidated School. After marrying in 1935 she moved to Jackson where she spent most of her adult life. After the death of her husband in 1966, she returned to school at Mississippi Baptist Hospital School of Practical Nursing where she earned her degree as a Certified Practical Nurse. She worked in several area hospitals and nursing homes, ending her career in 1995 after nineteen years at Woman's Hospital. She was a longtime member of Griffith Memorial Baptist Church. She found joy in her Lord and Savior and in taking care of her family and others.

Mrs. Ervin is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Jimmy and Angela Ervin, five grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren. Online guestbook www.wrightferguson.com
