

Margaret C. Meredith, 88 of Jackson went to be with the Lord on November 25, 2010. Services will be at Wright & Ferguson 350 High Street, Jackson. Visitation will be Sunday from 3 -5 and Monday 9 am with funeral service at I0:00a.m. and burial following at Lakewood Cemetery, 6000 Clinton Blvd. Jackson.
Margaret was born in Richman VA in 1922 to Emma & Charles Clarke, She graduated in 1939 from Thomas Jefferson High School. She worked for Richmond, Fredricksburg & Pontotoc Railroad and then China Children fund as a secretary in Richmond.
In June of 1946 she married her beloved husband Lane Dykes Meredith and later moved to Elba, AL. and then to Jackson. She become a member of Woodland Hills Baptist Church in 1961, were she and Mr. Meredith were active in the youth ministry.
Margaret was a devoted and loving wife, mother and mother in law. She always made you feel welcome and loved, with her contagious smile and good wit she was an inspiration to all who knew her.
She is survived by Sons: Albert Clarke (Corky) Meredith, Galveston, TX, Mark Lane Meredith, Jackson Miss.
Daughter in Law: Sandra Meredith, Jackson Ms. Grandson: Albert Clarke Meredith, Jr., Jackson, MS.
Sister: Mrs. Russell A. (Jean) Wood, Mechanicsville, VA. Niece: Janet Scheffinan, Phoenix, AZ Nephew: David Wood, and wife Ida, Forth Worth TX.
She was preceded in death by her father Charles and mother Emma, Brother Albert Clarke, and husband Dykes.
