Visitation will be held 3:00-6:00pm Tuesday, March 5, 2013 at Baldwin-Lee Funeral Home in Jackson. Funeral services are 10:00am Wednesday, March 6, 2013 in the funeral home chapel with interment to follow in Jesus Name Tabernacle Cemetery, Florence.
She was born November 30, 1928 in Bentonia, Mississippi, a daughter of the late John Wesley Douglas and Vinidra Florence Covey Douglas.
Mrs. Whittington was preceded in death by her husband, Willie Whittington, and son, Joe David Rushing.
Survivors include daughters, Glynda Hood of Pearl and Shirley Norris of Gretna, LA; brothers, sisters, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
