On September 30, 2015 Mary Sue Magee joined her beloved husband in Heaven. She was 84 years old. Mrs. Magee was born September 6, 1931 in Starkville, MS. She was raised in Foxworth, MS. She married Grayson Magee on July 29, 1950. She lived in Jackson for many years. She worked for the Department of Wildlife and Fisheries as a secretary. She was a long-time member of Southside Assembly of God. After retiring she and Grayson moved back to Columbia where they lived until their deaths. Mrs. Magee was preceded in death by her mother, Vallie Tolar; father, Kellum Clark; brother, Buddy Clark; sister, Nannie Pittman; her husband of 62 years, Grayson Magee; her son, James Magee; and her son-in-law Andy Salassi. She is survived by her daughter, Patricia Salassi of Columbia; her son, Timothy Magee (Jessica) of Willard, MO; her granddaughters, Marie Kraft (Chris) of Clinton, Madison and Katelyn Magee of Willard, MO; and her great granddaughter, Dakota Leigh Kraft of Clinton. A visitation will be held on Monday, October 5th from 12-2 p.m. at Lakewood Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. and burial will follow in Lakewood memorial Park.
